and she's back!!

I have much to post about my Italy and beach adventures but sadly, I have two weeks worth of work to catch up on AND the work just keeps coming (don't people realize that I wanted to ease back into work? I mean, c'mon now).

Until then, I'll be quality checking data, putting together presentations, and day dreaming about my next vacation :)

need to focus

I do not regret: trying hard to get all my work done before I leave for two weeks! How am I doing? Well, as you can tell by the title of this post, I'm having a very hard time focusing!

Here are the reasons why:

1. I'd rather be searching "Italy," "wine," and "beach," than "fiber internet connections" (oh yea, I work for a marketing research company in their telecom vertical. I know way too much about this industry now).
2. It's beautiful outside. And it's freezing in my office. I wish there was a way for us to work outside - like we could at UVA! There was wireless everywhere on Grounds, which came in handy on days that were just too nice to be sitting in the lib.
3. It's the middle of the afternoon. I need caffeine but I'm trying to stop drinking it so much (argh!). This time of day is the WORST (well, only when you're at work; 3:30 on the weekends/vacation is just fab).
   

Anyway, I've only got a few more things on my work to-do list before I leave tomorrow. I just need to focus! I wish "effort" counted in the real-world, I'm trying really hard to do this, but I'm just not very successful at getting it done! :)
